Kid’s Church (KC) is excited to be back on this term and operating in a semi
normal way! Kids will start off in church again and then proceed to Bective Hall after Kid’s Spot with the teaching team.
Due to covid and associated space restrictions, we are asking that children under 3 stay in the church with their parents and make use of the area up the back. All other aged children will stay in Bective Hall and split into their two groups. These procedures will stay in place for term 1 with the hope to recommence Mini Kids 2 – 4 year olds next term in the Mini Kids room. So for this term the groups are:
Asteroids: Pre School (3yr olds) Year 2

Teachers: Simone Hurst and Marie Eather; David Thomas and Phillip Matheus; Mandy Curran, Karen Balla and Robyn Clarke.

Galaxies: Year 3 Year 6.
Teachers: Bec Innes; Madi Weekes and David Innes.

Julie Smith and Helen
Campbell are our back up / relief team members.

If you are interested at being
on team, I would love to chat with you and you can contact me through the church office.

This term we are working our way through an 8 week program on Zechariah culminating in an Easter Celebration with Energise on the 28.3.21.

The weekly topics are:
Zechariah 2, God’s Precious People: God’s people are precious to him. He wants good things for them (bless them) and he wants to protect them.
Zechariah 3, In A Single Day: God promised that in a single day he would fix up the problem of our sin. And he did!
Zechariah 4, 6:9-15 God And His People: God promises to live with his people.
Zechariah 5, 6:1-8 The Sin Remover: God will one day remove sin forever.
Zechariah 7-8 The Heart Of The Matter: We love God by loving people from the heart (by taking care of people who can’t take care of themselves).
Zechariah 9 God’s Promised King: Jesus is the King God promised would
Zechariah 10-11 Shepherds Of God’s Flock: We are to follow Jesus, God’s Good Shepherd, God’s good leader.
Zechariah 12-14 On That Day: Every promise God makes, Jesus keeps.

Can I strongly encourage you as the Family of God here at St Paul’s, to be engaging with and asking kids after church each week about what they learnt and did at kid’s church. This reinforces the message of the Gospel, enables them to see Christianity as relevant and important in every day life and feel included as the body of Christ.

We look forward to partnering with you in the essential task of teaching and instilling a love of God’s word in children’s hearts and lives.
